According to the Oyia newspaper, the second edition of the rally, sponsored by a group of businesses and companies from Germany, in collaboration with tour operators of Libyan tourism, will involve European drivers competing in the cars, motorcycles and trucks.

The previous edition of the rally, which was held from 7 to 26 March, with about 88 competitors from different nationalities, covered a distance of over 2,000 kilometres deep in the Libyan desert.

PANA reported that the previous edition, which was composed of seven stages, was based on personal experience to enable participants learn, discover and take pleasure in crossing the Libyan tourist sites, including the expanse of sand, the Bourouj plains, the Akakos range of mountains, the Wadi Hayat plain and the highs and dunes of Morzuk in the southern part of Libya.
