Regular sea links between Tunisia and Libya, departing from Sfax port and ensured by the Tunisian "GTT Ferries" company, specialised in sea transport and trade activities, are due to be launched soon.

The first journey of "El-Habib" car-ferry from Sfax to Tripoli is scheduled for next December 11, at the rate of three crossings/week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Crossing lasts 10 hours during which travellers could carry out all departure and arrival procedures on board.

This new sea line aims to consolidate capacities of existing land and air transport between the two countries and to further boost economic and tourist activity which has been recording a sustained growth in the past years.
