The Chairman of the Board of the National Oil Corporation Dr. Shukri Ghanem Monday did not rule out that OPEC keep the current production ceiling in the meeting which will hold tomorrow in the Angolan capital Luanda.
He told reporters in Luanda that there would be no change of the current production levels..and we will work towards further commitment to these levels.
The Chairman stressed the need for OPEC to be more committed to the agreed production level.
He told Reuters on Sunday the surplus in the market necessitated such commitment. We have to commit first..then monitor the market, he added.
The Chairman ruled out changing OPEC's current production of 24.84 million BPD, attributing this to a satisfactory current prices.
